Sara Bracken, PsyD

Dr. Sara Bracken is a licensed psychologist who earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her Psy.D. in School Psychology from St. John’s University. During her training, Dr. Bracken completed internships at the Mt. Sinai Adolescent Health Center and Cooke Center Academy, a specialized high school for neurodiverse students in New York City. She also taught as an adjunct professor and supervised doctoral students in the St. John’s University School Psychology program. Dr. Bracken has worked in a local public school system since 2013, delivering counseling, assessment, and behavioral intervention services. At CABC, Dr. Bracken provides therapy as well as comprehensive psychological evaluations.

Dr. Bracken uses an integrative, strengths-based approach to treatment, grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She has extensive experience working with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Depression, Intellectual Disabilities, and Learning Disabilities. In addition to clinical expertise, Dr. Bracken has specialized knowledge of the school setting. She enjoys working collaboratively with families and schools to support children, adolescents and young adults as they grow academically, socially and emotionally throughout their educational careers.
