Gaby Grebski is a licensed clinical social worker who earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Yale University and her master’s degree in social work from Columbia University, with a focus on health, mental health, and disabilities. She completed an internship at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, affiliated with New York-Presbyterian/Columbia and Cornell, where she specialized in the treatment of mood and eating disorders.

With more than 20 years of clinical and counseling experience, Gaby works with adolescents, parents, college students, emerging adults, and adults across the lifespan. She has served as a counselor and health educator in schools throughout the Washington, DC area and at the collegiate level, bringing deep experience in supporting individuals through academic, professional, and personal transitions.

Gaby uses a collaborative, strengths-based, and solution-focused approach to help clients navigate mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity development, and self-injurious behaviors. She partners with clients to build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

Gaby is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). She incorporates mindfulness-based techniques and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills into her work to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, resilience, and psychological flexibility.

In addition to her clinical work, as a former Division I athlete, masters athlete, and national champion in middle-distance running, Gaby brings a unique understanding of performance, identity, and motivation. With over 20 years of coaching experience, including working with dozens of high school and collegiate All-American athletes, she works with both adolescents and adults to address the psychological factors that impact performance, confidence, achievement, and long-term fulfillment in sport and life.
